Located in Inglewood’s Hollywood Park development, Code Next Inglewood marks the latest evolution of Google’s free tech and AI education initiative aimed at high school students. HLW served as Architect of Record in close collaboration with Design Architect, Kurani, to transform a cold shell space into a future-ready learning hub designed for creativity, experimentation, and community connection.

The space is anchored by three primary learning zones—the Design Studio, Makerspace, and Training Lab—each tailored to hands-on, tech-driven curricula. Supporting these are recording booths that double as private meeting pods, a fabrication space, A/V production rooms, and flexible niches outfitted with 3D printers and emerging technologies. These high-functioning educational areas are balanced by staff offices, lounges, collaborative zones, and a welcoming kitchenette that encourages social connection.

Materials such as plywood paneling, tackable acoustic walls, custom graphic wallcoverings, and exposed concrete floors establish a durable, tactile, and inviting environment.
