A reimagined arrival experience blending bold contrast, warmth, and modern clarity.
This project transforms the arrival sequence and shared amenities of an existing building into a cohesive, contemporary experience. The original red precast façade and black aluminium framing provided a strong architectural identity, which HLW complemented by recladding the entry sequence with modern metal panels and warm integrated lighting. Sloped ceiling panels extend from the façade along the retail frontage, creating a continuous architectural gesture that incorporates signage and enhances visibility.
Within the lobby, existing finishes were paired with new, modern materials to establish balance and renewal. A relocated reception desk improves functionality and sightlines, while lounge seating and integrated planters introduce comfort and informality. The adjacent café was opened visually to the lobby, with contrasting materials and a louvred ceiling feature reinforcing continuity between spaces.
Ground-floor lift lobbies were fully reclad to align with the main design language, introducing darker finishes, warm marbling, timber veneer ceilings, and curated lighting. Together, these interventions elevate the building’s shared spaces, creating a refined and welcoming first impression.
