At the core of this asset management firm’s new space is a sophisticated reception area and client center, designed to accommodate visitors from around the world. The client envisioned a relaxed, yet professional atmosphere that would offer seamless hospitality. A sculptural reception desk in rich, dark wood is set before a metal screen that partitions the arrival area from the large conference room and client center positioned on the other side. Velour deep blue seating and round tables in varying sizes enhance the lounge-like ambiance. HLW strategically integrated elements that promote an open, collaborative environment while maintaining the necessary privacy for focused work, aligned with the client’s core values of transparency and openness.
Wellness was a central theme throughout the design process, seamlessly integrated with sustainability goals to create a space that is both high-performing and deeply human-centric. One clear example of this sustainability-wellness synergy is the maximized use of natural light, which not only reduces energy consumption but also enhances spatial quality and occupant experience.
Material selection played a pivotal role in achieving both environmental and wellness targets: the team evaluated products for emissions, chemical content, and lifecycle impact, allowing for informed choices that prioritize both performance and human health. A warm, natural palette of wood paneling, soft textiles, and stone surfaces creates a cohesive and welcoming environment.
