HLW provided Interior Architecture for the creation of a new office floor to consolidate Food Network’s growing Digital Group, previously spread across several locations. The new space is located on the 2nd floor of Chelsea Market, a converted industrial building, and is a direct extension of the Food Network headquarters consolidation previously completed by HLW in […]
The King 5 Broadcast Facility design reflects the latest and most innovative elements of studio development. The King 5 studio and corporate headquarters, the local NBC affiliate and a member of the Tegna, Inc. group of stations, has been constructed on the first 3 floors of the existing 7-story building.
Europe’s leading entertainment company, Sky serves 21M customers across five countries. The Osterley campus, where HLW designed a campus-wide refresh, contains the Sky head office and broadcasting facilities. Here, we introduced design standards for agile working. Accessible touchdown bases and large, bench style tables are key aspects of the effort to foster a sense of […]
The diversified content and media company of the Pac-12 Conference was conceived and built from the ground-up as a new network. HLW has been with the network from the very beginning. In addition to studios and production spaces, we designed a new feature stair and offices. Our design pays homage to the twelve institutions that […]
HLW designed the new home for NBC’s core technology team and Media Labs. We created a place where the company’s whiz kids would be comfortable—a highly collaborative and fully wired workspace—and feel empowered to rethink technology. The new center is an internal “think tank” for pushing the envelope in our client’s specialized field.
HLW worked closely with the Philadelphia local favorite, which has been broadcasting programs for a half century. Our initial site analysis included an adjacent property where the new multi-level media center was ultimately built. The newsroom and open work areas now face a new plaza and afford views of the city thanks to a transparent […]
The consolidation of the Madison Square Garden Networks (MSG) broadcast media group at 11 Penn Plaza resulted in a best practices work environment and the establishment of clear, integrated branding throughout the workplace. The new headquarters houses offices and technical space on one floor, necessitating a gut renovation, and broadcast studios on additional floors that […]
The new HBO Communications Center achieved HBO’s technical objectives of meeting current expanding needs and flexibility for future growth while delivering on operational requirements for resiliency, redundancy, and power. In addition, the client’s aesthetic desires were well served by the design, which complements the original structure and preserves the HBO campus’s attractive, green setting.
Newsport is part of Univision’s Doral, Florida campus where HLW has been involved with the planning and design of facilities since 2011. The project involved a complex, phased transformation of a double-height warehouse into an operations/production facility. We added a mezzanine, three large sound studios, a major glass-enclosed newsroom, and numerous conferencing and creative collaboration […]
HLW created an exceptionally flexible working environment, one that permits the reconfiguration of production and technical spaces to rapidly meet evolving requirements. Studios can be combined, used separately, and configured to accommodate multiple sets. The project doubled the size of existing studio operations and centralized sports monitoring and production capabilities in two multi-story digital centers.
