Spearheaded by Managing Director Alex Dunham, who also serves as an Associate Principal at HLW, Ark will continue to function as an independent studio within the firm, developing concepts that accelerate the evolution of the industry through an integrated and informed understanding of workplace function, culture, and operations. Its new service offering includes: organizational strategy and transformation, business visioning and innovation, and change management and communication.

Ark is a powerful team of strategists and analysts who work closely alongside partners to develop core organizational objectives and develop solutions to meet the evolving business landscape. The team utilizes a robust toolkit of qualitative and quantitative information to navigate complexities of today’s market. Resilience is the foundational concept for the consultancy, guiding a highly collaborative and thorough process.

“Ark represents HLW’s latest strides towards repositioning our service offerings to directly respond to the evolving needs of our partners and the industry at large,” says Managing Partner of HLW Susan Boyle. “We are in the midst of an exciting period of change and growth, incorporating purposeful change into our operations to position our organization as a leader in collaboration and innovation. Ark’s breadth of expertise ushers in new possibilities to spearhead boundary-pushing concepts to propel our clients forward.”

The pivot of Ark’s service offering comes at a time of great uncertainty for many organizations seeking to strike the balance between evolving work models and productivity with broader goals for the future. Ark will guide clients through this transformational era, narrowing down design and infrastructure solutions for campus planning, organization strategy, change management, and bespoke research facilitated by interactive discussions built around dynamic activities, live polling, and virtual reality. With previous experience working with partners including Google, Kering, Citi, and McKinsey, the knowledgeable team will set a new standard for real estate problem-solving and strategy.

“Conversations rooted in organizational problem-solving and adaptation are having profound, lasting impacts on work and business now more than ever,” says Alex Dunham. “Our team is passionate about tackling these issues head on alongside our partners, developing lasting strategies that improve the productivity, culture, and experience of the workplace and the underlying business.”
